I think Rhun ap Iorwerth is a dynamic and relatable leader who will be able to challenge Westminster on the unfairness of the current funding set up instead of meekly accepting it as the previous Labour administration did. The Barnett formula is unfair because it’s calculated on population share rather than need and takes no account of the particular demographic and geographic challenges faced in Wales, which make education and healthcare more costly per head to deliver.
