Lisa Nandy ran for leadership of Labour against Starmer (I voted for her). So how come Wes Streeting is being talked about and pushed forward, but Lisa isn't?

YABU - no one's heard of her
YANBU - this is weird and sucks, especially for a party who is yet to have a woman leader and has been bested by the EDI loving Conservatives on this repeatedly!

Cos she awful. What about Yvette Cooper?

She’s such a wet lettuce.

Chiachomp · 13/05/2026 16:58

Shabana Mahmoud or Wes Streetibg are the only tolerable options. Anyone left of there will trigger a bond crisis. And I sadly suspect that’s where we’re headed.

Would you rather a male PM who was against gender transition, or a woman PM who was for it? I think it's an interesting position to take to say you'd prefer a man to lead the country than a woman based on their stances on women's rights

I joined the party so I could vote against Nandy and Rebecca whatsit for leader simply because of their gender ideology views. Of course that means I had to vote starmer but it was purely by elimination. I also naively thought that as a former human rights lawyer he might be a decent leader 🙄

If you used to be a Labour voter, who do you vote for now?

I voted Lib Dem in the locals, to keep Reform out (it was tight). The local candidate is a good, local bloke. I doubt he has a clue about the Wera Hobhouse / Layla Moran whackaloon element on high, and I might see if I can get him interested in the (sex realist) Liberal Voice for Women group.

I would prefer anyone male or female who stood up for womens rights over the demands of men.
So yes I'd prefer a man who is gc over a woman who is willing to throw other women under the bus for the sake of of a male fantasy.
Honestly do you think that women should be locked in a prison cell with a rapist? or that a someone who does is fit to lead this country?
If your answer to either of my questions is yes then you need to have a serious look at yourself because thats state sponsored rape that your advocating

She is. I used to have meetings with her and she was awful

Lisa Nandy 😀. How about Dawn Butler. She could recite the words to Something Inside so Strong again.

Additup · 13/05/2026 17:41

I dont know why she's missing from the conversation OP, but I'm really glad she is because she's not a credible option as party leader, nevermind PM.

faithfultoGeorgeMichael · 13/05/2026 17:45

Labour don't do 'women' do they? As leaders or targeted voters. Unless I missed something 🙄

😂OMG I forgot that!!

Pinribbons · 13/05/2026 17:50

She has publically supported the idea of Andy Burnham as leader, so I guess she no longer wants the job?
