Who is running the country whilst Starmer runs from knives?

Aibu to wonder who’s running the country / all its departments whilst a chunk of Starmer’s party try to eat him? This is no different to the Tories eating Bojo and then leaving us in even more carnage. I’m no fan of Starmer, but what the fuck are these people doing? Who has actually got control of critical issues whilst they are busy either with their knives out or running away from colleagues brandishing knives?

Politics needs a major overhaul. Fuck knows how or what, but these people spend their time sniping and jesting in parliament or trying to fuck eachother over. The first time my kids saw footage of “debate” in the commons, they were like: what the fuck? How is this what the people in charge do?

What did you do about your kids using that kind of language?

OneTealShaker · 12/05/2026 13:09

No one was running it anyway. So no change there.

Starmer couldn’t run a bath, let alone a country.

Were you watching PMQ?
If so, that is a bear pit seemingly just for show, much of the time it is quite boring.

If they are so young as to not have seen footage of the commons before, you might want to have a word with them about their language.😁

Nothing. I’ve let them say the word fuck since they were preschool age. They’re now 18 and 20 and they are polite. We all use the word fuck whenever we want.

Oooh edgy.

Maybe read a dictionary and learn some new words.

I’m quite happy with the word fuck. Nothing to do with being edgy. I’m quite the opposite of edgy. I just enjoy a good swear.

Agreed.

Agreed.

But what has happened to the work that Starmer and the rest of them would have been doing today? Instead of infighting. Who is doing it? What is it? And if the civil service run the country without the politicians, what’s the point in these politicians?
