The press is reporting a landslide reform win

yet when you look at the results from last year and this year this is the result approx

labour have 5000 labour councillors across the country
Lib Dem 3100
reform 2000
green 1200
tory 600

AIBU to think all the press is misleading including the BBC

reform have made great gains, but its not as the press is reporting and that is a big problem - the press reporting on the situation

Of the seats up for re election? You're using the wrong statistics. We see you.

Sesma · 10/05/2026 07:28

Does that include last year as well. The shit hadn't completely hit the fan then

You have ignored the devolved elections.

Are you Kier Starmer? Great job at choosing irrelevant pieces of information and using them to say something completely different.

Now hiding this thread, too.

Added to all the others that have appeared since Friday…

ProudAmberTurtle · 10/05/2026 07:33

Those numbers are not correct

cariadlet · 10/05/2026 07:36

The relevant statistic isn't how many council, seats, Senedd seats or MSPs each party has, particularly as not every seat was being contested; it's the number of gains and losses.

I'm no fan of Reform but they massively outperformed the other parties.
