Amazon returns warning…

Amazon returns warning… has anyone had this? I’ve looked through the last twelve months and I’ve returns 3 things. I’ve bought an average of 15-20 things a month. One return for being appalling quality, one for being too big, and one for not being the object in the image.

I like the security of being able to return but this seems unreasonable for that ratio of returns! Shall I just bypass and return anyway? That will be four. Seems so random!!

That seems so random, I'm sure I've returned more than this, similar reasons and definitely at.least 1 for arriving too late & I haven't had this. I order a similar amount of stuff too.

EskSmith · 08/05/2026 16:08

Could it be the total value of returns is high?

murasaki · 08/05/2026 16:09

Yes, maybe it's the value? 3 doesn't seem a huge amount to me.

DinosaurBlue · 08/05/2026 16:11

I had that recently. I had returned a few things over the past few months but kept far more than I returned.

So for the past month, I have ordered more from Amazon than I usually would for things I need and won’t return. Eg baby wipes, have always bought from Boots but this time from Amazon. The message has now disappeared from my account.

TheBeaTgoeson1 · 08/05/2026 16:12

They were so low value. Around £25 in total. I think I might contest it.

Wondering that @DinosaurBlueas two were in the same month!

Also not sure if it’s returns or purchases that flagged my account, as it came up for me after I bought 20 of the same item (needed for party bags).

Raise it with customer service and cite number of purchases and returns across the year. Ask them to validate in case there is anything odd happening related to your address/account (in case you are a victim of fraud).

mumofoneAloneandwell · 08/05/2026 18:00

That is new tbh - I buy and return from amazon all the time

Abatyterntin · 08/05/2026 18:39

I think my husband had this and he hardly returns anything.

He chatted with them online and they resolved it.

RedRiverShore6 · 08/05/2026 18:42

I haven't but I have seen it happening before to people a few years ago and people having their accounts stopped, threads on other forums about it but not recently

I’ve had a warning on my kindle purchases before! My son clicked buy on a few things accidentally and I refunded them - not lots - and then got warned for it. Nothing since. We buy an absolute ton of stuff from them on kindle and on the main site.
