AIBU to save most bathroom trips for my WFH day?

I am really not sure how to start this but basically I do 80% of my poo for the week on the day I WFH when no one else is at home. Is anyone else like this or is it really strange? The weekend doesn't have the same effect because there are people around. However I have been wondering if I should be counting it as work time or taking it as unpaid break as genuinely it can be up to seven times a day on the WFH day. But then I won't have time to fit in my work before the end of the school day. I am probably overthinking it just seems to take up more and more of my time on my day at home.

Also the title was generated by AI as I really couldn't think how to word this. And obviously name changed.

Totally bizarre theory here 😂

Here we go again 🙄

it can be up to seven times a day
How many hours are you sitting on the toilet then? No, I wouldn't consider it normal at all, unless you are a sloth! They poo weekly also.

If this is a new change in bowel habits, then please get it checked.

WhatHappenedToYourFurnitureCuz · 08/05/2026 12:49

Depends, do you log it in your timeshit?

LemonRedwood · 08/05/2026 12:49

I'm struggling to understand the body mechanics with this one.

A) Your body lets you 'save it up'? Surely when you need to go you need to go!

B) Once you have 'saved it up', 7 trips in one day?? Wouldn't most of it be got rid of in the first trip?

And I'm really not sure if I actually want the answers to those questions either!

Bettyberryburst · 08/05/2026 12:49

Title may be misleading as none of this is intentional. How do I get my body to change this habit would be a more appropriate question

I have had a blood test and a FIT test recently. Nothing came up to indicate ill health.

Seven times a day and timed for one specific day? Bizarre.

It was 7 on one occasion. Other WFH days can be between 3-5 times. I'm not aware of why. But some days I don't go all and I can't figure out diet wise what makes the difference. Only time wise.

agreed, this is really poor.

FeliciaFancybottom · 08/05/2026 13:12

Is anyone else like this? Pootrollitis seems fairly common, so I'd say it's not just you.

PatNoodle · 08/05/2026 13:21

Whyyyyyy is this site becoming overrun with trolls people desperate to discuss their shitting habits

Bettyberryburst · 08/05/2026 13:28

Is it the way I have written it or the subject matter? Sorry I asked about others, I was asking in the sense of if others have had same/similar issue they could advise on what helped. I have googled and been to GP for advice but nothing I've changed in my diet seems to work. And I don't like the pain caused by the medication I was given. Perhaps I would have been better off have posting in health.

No.

Literally no-one in the world has the same/similar issue. We shit when we need to.

Because it's so fucking inconvenient and I can't ask anyone in person. It's a shame I am having an original experience and literally no one can advise

This was one day after not going all week. But I'd say average is 4 times on the WFH then probably another 3 times over a couple of days a week. What help would you suggest? Medication causes a lot of pain (I have tried about 3 different types and it all hurts).

Try taking a magnesium tablet before you go to bed every night.
