To wonder what I can do about looking so old after weight loss.

I have a one year old. I had a lot of water retention during my pregnancy so I gained a lot of weight all over, not just the tidy bump in the front I was hoping for.

I have gone back to my pre-pregnancy weight and look so old. My legs are fine but my arms are saggy and my tummy looks wrinkly where the stretch marks are fading. My boobs have vanished and the skin is crepey and my face just looks old and tired.
My hair is thinning so I am just tying it up now.
I feel so unattractive yet I feel I should be happy I have gone back to my original size but I don’t feel like my self at all.
I even have a patch of crepey skin under my chin where I lost my double chin.
I’m not a vein person and I certainly wasn’t anything special to begin with but I suddenly feel so old and wrinkled.
I have tried creams but nothing seems to help, is this just me now or will I see any improvement as time goes on.

Strength training to tone up a bit?

Well done on losing weight!

A friend had these issues after using WLI, so she: ate plenty of good quality protein; started to take collagen supplements; & did regular weight training. Now she looks less gaunt, her hair is growing back & her skin is better.

I lost a lot of hair in 2011 caused by an epilepsy drug which I had to stop.. I also got my ferritin level checked as low iron & ferritin contributes to hair loss; I started taking Vitabiotics Hair supplements (which are cheaper bought direct from Vitabiotics).. now I take collagen as well & I’m peri so take HRT as the menopause can cause hair loss. I also take Boots Gentle Iron 20mg capsules.

If you choose to take more than one supplement do check that you are not doubling up on certain vitamins/ minerals.
