To be scared to drink Lucozade sport orange pre colonoscopy?

On clear liquids prep for colonoscopy tomorrow. My first one and very nervous. Been given Moviprep start at 5pm. I did read the list it says sports drinks nothing red or blackcurrant. But the lucosade sport is orange and some people online mention avoid orange colour. It’s beta carotene which apparently won’t cause staining or affect the exam according to my research! I did email the hospital but no reply. I don’t want to ring over something so trivial as I am drinking 7up and will be grand! They’re so busy and I don’t want to be ringing up for that. But if anyone knew or they were told it was okay please let me know 😊

It's fine to have orange lucozade sport with the prep, it helps it go down.
All the best.

I have had 3 colonoscopy’s. In all cases I drunk the prep really really cold (made it up with really cold water and kept it in the fridge) and in large swigs to get it down. Took it over an hour or so. After a swig I just had a couple of gulps of elderflower flavoured water. I couldn’t do a fizzy drink but it may work for you

They ask to avoid red stuff because residual fluid can look like internal bleeding during the procedure, Lucozade is fine and a good way to keep your energy up while fasting. Had several of these during treatment for bowel cancer. My sympathies, in some ways the prep is worse than the colonoscopy, at least they offer tea and toast afterwards.

In contrast to what @FairCat says, I didn't find the prep that bad (no problems drinking the horrid stuff, and having a colonoscopy because I had bowel issues anyway...) but I CERTAINLY was NOT offered tea and biscuits afterwards! Despite having sedation. It was - oh you have recovered from your sedation, time to go home now.
