I use 2 but I've just seen someone make an omelette for themselves, 1 person, with 6 😶

How many do you use?

2 if it’s for lunch 3 for dinner.
dinner would usually have extra veg thrown in have it with salad. Lunch would usually be plain or with cheese

My chickens lay little eggs and I use one to make an omelette. No wonder I’m ravenous a short while after it. I’ll up my game to two from now on 😝

Did it not occur to you that the omelette was really really small and/or thin?

angelcake20 · 05/05/2026 17:22

2 for me, 3 for anyone else who’s having one, but I usually have more fillings. We only have them as lunch with some beans, rather than dinner.

AgnesMcDoo · 05/05/2026 17:23

2 for me.

Showmethehoney0 · 05/05/2026 17:23

2 but only because I’m not overly keen on them & too much egg makes me feel sick. Same with scrambled and runny boiled with soldiers (never too old for soldiers) maybe I’m just conditioned that 2 is the magic egg number?

lydialucy · 05/05/2026 17:23

2 and add sliced tomato and grated cheese

OneCoralGoose · 05/05/2026 17:25

I eat eggs in twos but never reliesed it. 2 boiled, 2 if i was making egg salad, 2 fired, 2 in a scramble, 2 in an omlette. I am a little odd

Of course but in the winter when they stop laying and I buy eggs I must buy large and use them and one is plenty so I then feel “greedy” using two of my girls eggs even though they are small. Ridiculous I know.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 05/05/2026 17:27

3

woowu · 05/05/2026 17:27

3, always 3. I usually add tomato and some cheese but I don’t eat anything on the side.

GoldMoon · 05/05/2026 17:29

Two for me but I'm trying to lose weight , 4 for dh and he adds an extra yolk sometimes .

What did the eggs do to get fired?

Two is the magic egg number. If I eat three, I get horrible stomach cramps and potentially diarrhoea. I can only imagine the pain and mess if I had a six egger.

Pepperedpickles · 05/05/2026 17:34

2 large ones.

youalright · 05/05/2026 17:35

3

kohlrabislaw · 05/05/2026 17:36

2 large eggs is fine. Same for my husband

youalright · 05/05/2026 17:36

Someone will be along soon to say they use half an egg to go with their giant salad as they couldn't possibly manage anything more

Hellometime · 05/05/2026 17:36

2 large eggs for me.

x2boys · 05/05/2026 17:42

3 ususlly but would have a filling in it
For those that use six eggs how big are your pans?

Vicliz24 · 05/05/2026 17:45

3 and a slice of sourdough toast

PyongyangKipperbang · 05/05/2026 17:46

Me and the DD's it would be 2, ex would have 3/4 depending and the boys when they were teenagers......every single egg in the house and be hungry again an hour later!

DeepFriedCreamEgg · 05/05/2026 17:46

One egg serves a family of 7 with a cherry tomato and a mushroom each.

Notellinganyone · 05/05/2026 17:47

Three. It’s measly with two.

AnnikaA · 05/05/2026 17:47

3 medium eggs for a main meal omelette , with bread

Weirdly if I’m having fried egg baps I only need two eggs . I can’t explain that!

shellyleppard · 05/05/2026 17:47

Just two for me 😁
