Would you be annoyed if a friend turned round and just said im
constantly negative? And full of drama? In a horrible way? Yet she’s always got something going on her in life too??? Feeling a bit annoyed :(
or is she right!????

Well, is she right 🤷‍♀️

JustChillin70 · 04/05/2026 12:33

How the heck do we know if she’s right?

Swiftie1878 · 04/05/2026 12:33

Looks like she nailed it. 🤷‍♀️

My irony meter overloaded

SliceofTosst · 04/05/2026 12:35

Your post sounds pretty negative especially with so many passive aggressive ????

Yep! Is “everyone a’ginst you”?..🤨

CoyGoldenKoi · 04/05/2026 12:36

We know neither you nor your friend, so it's pretty impossible to judge.

But since your response to this is to post what comes across as an angry rant with way too much emotional punctuation, I suspect she has a point.

Maybe try some self reflection: in what ways could she be right, and how might you change if she were? And then try out being that person for a while, because you might find it makes you happier to be less negative/dramatic/easily offended.

BlackBean2023 · 04/05/2026 12:36

is she right? I have a friend who constantly moans about everything - her job, her DH, the service at a restaurant, other people around us…if I have a problem, she has one bigger. it’s exhausting to be honest.

5128gap · 04/05/2026 12:38

We don't know you so don't know whether she's right. You could:
Ask her for examples and see if they are accurate.
Ask your mum or sister if that sounds like you to them.
Reflect on whether anyone else has ever accused you of similar.

BeOpalQuail · 04/05/2026 12:39

Maybe check it out with other people. I have a friend who is really negative. I honestly think she doesn't understand how much she moans and how draining this is.

canklesmctacotits · 04/05/2026 12:54

The irony!

KateBushAgain · 04/05/2026 12:56

I think it can become a bit of a habit .
Is this friend someone you offload to and now you’re stuck in a bit of a conversational rut ?
If its more a generalised personality trait I’d recommend a daily gratitude practice.

Gratitude can be life changing , look into it .

ToKittyornottoKitty · 04/05/2026 13:03

How could we possibly know if she’s right? Chances are there’s something in it, so maybe you should reflect on it.

Pinkdumpling · 04/05/2026 13:18

I think she may be right.

Tillow4ever · 04/05/2026 13:45

I recognised your username so did an advanced search. Based on what I found, I would say your friend is correct.

What you do with that is up to you.

ohyesido · 04/05/2026 13:49

She may be right but does she have any right to criticise you?

This.

SunnyRedSnail · 04/05/2026 15:18

Sounds like she has hit a nerve?

Perhaps you are? Most people are unlikely to snap and say such a thing unless its true.

My DH is a very negative person and it can be really draining.

Ilikewinter · 04/05/2026 15:21

Nothing worse than a 'mood hoover' !

Branleuse · 04/05/2026 15:30

Quite a shitty comment from her especially if she let's off steam to you or she seeks support from you about her problems.
