Mini Pill help, sufferer of endemetriosis, early 50s

I am in my early 50's.
Suffer from endemetriosis. On HRT and need to take a mini pill along side to cope with all this horrific bleeding! Can anyone recommend a good mini pill please? I used to take Qlaria yet due to my age had to give up.

I'd love any advise and help!

Thanks.

I’m on cerelle for it and it definitely helped me for same reason. My Drs are wanting to stop it now due to my age (54) so I’m worried about any PCOS symptoms that may return - the horrendous bleeding should be over!

I'm on just a generic desogestrel 75 MCG but have previously been on cerelle and cerazette. All very good at stopping periods and any endometriosis pain.

I've been on desogestrel for years (started HRT six months ago as well) and it's been great for me. No periods at all since I started taking it.

I’m on Desogestrel and haven’t had a period since starting it.

Same as above. Similar age to you. No periods since starting it.

Can you be on the mini pill and hrt? I've delayed hrt as I need to be on mini pill for contraception but I have other periods symptoms which I'd like to zap with hrt if poss!

Hi, yes you can take the pill and HRT. I take the mini pill, oral progesterone and oestrogen gel.

Do you have the coil? I take oestrogel, utrogestan and have the mirena. The initial high progestin dose of the mirena stopped bleeding for 18 months, then it came back. I have adenomyosis and a fibroid. The doc is suggesting a new coil, that I may need to replace more frequently than the 5 years. The utrogestan is for mood and sleep.

As above I’ve been on Desogesterol for years & no period since I started taking it!

I am 47 and started taking Yasmin. It’s been great no periods for months.

If you’re on oestrogen and progesterone, can’t you just have the needle to stop your ovaries altogether rather than the pill?
