Knee walking

My 13 month old has been knee walking for 2 months now. (And crawling for longer but prefers to knee walk) I am now getting a little concerned he’s now stuck and just comfortable at doing this as he HATES to hold my hands walking and throws himself to the floor. I know it’s totally fine to have later walkers but just wanted to know if anyone’s baby around 12/13 months done this and then suddenly started walking soon???

DS did this. We encouraged him to walk by getting him a trolley to push around, but he had to stand up to do so. We also got him a buggy for his favourite cuddly toy. It worked.

Mine went from bottom shuffling to cruising round sofas and chairs to full blown running between the furniture. No walking in between unless she did it at midnight in secret. Was bottom shuffling until 14 months.

Babies hate performing to milestones and love to cause worry to their parents by not performing. It's a special gift of theirs.

13 months is certainly not late in walking! Just let him do his thing. He’ll get there at his own pace. You don’t see any kids crawling/bum shuffling or knee walking do you? My kid rolled - I don’t think he ever really crawled.
