I am actually horrified. A third, Muslim, man was stabbed in the attack but he isn’t being mentioned anywhere. How is this allowed?!

Metropolitan Police (@metpoliceuk) on X

A man will appear in court today charged following a Counter Terrorism Policing investigation into two men stabbed in #GoldersGreen: https://t.co/BgK04EQmyX

I never see the same user names posting on both types of threads.

That article has more hope in it than all these threads.

because when people are targeted specifically because of 1 or more of their identifying features (disabled, black, Jewish) then it doesn't help anyone to try to pretend that wasn't the reason for this and other attacks.

It is about identifying patterns too. Because if we don't identify patterns and just pretend that everyone is at the same risk, we may as well all give up and barricade ourselves at home.

Maybe I didn't explain myself well. I didn't mean for one second that anti-Semitism and islamophobia don't exist - I am very well aware (personally) that they do.

I meant that all this nit-picking and point-scoring on a social forum is irrelevant and unhelpful. People are obsessed with picking sides, and then justifying their choice, but they don't seem to realise that they're picking from a false dichotomy, and that there's a much bigger, more important distinction they should be making.

BackToLurk · 02/05/2026 14:49

I’m absolutely certain that if a right wing man, who had had previous contact with Prevent and suffered mental health issues, stabbed someone they knew then went to a largely Muslim area and stabbed 2 obviously Muslim men lots of the posters pushing the ‘you can’t be sure it’s antisemitic’ line would be totally saying it wasn’t Islamophobia. Certain I am. Absolutely sure. And they definitely wouldn’t want to ban the likes of Tommy ten names from marching.

Yes @nomas I wonder the same thing.

I’ve answered you two times already, why do you keep repeating yourself?

‘Domestic dispute’ was said by a few posters, see attached.

Not the one you directly replied to. Have another go.

BurnoutGP · 02/05/2026 14:50

How does every attack on Jews result in more antisemitism/antisemitic tropes and conspiracy theories. Wow

KeepPumping · 02/05/2026 14:51

PatriciaRocks · 02/05/2026 14:46

"called out by guests on SKY"
that's evidence of a "narrative" is it?
Also..... aren't Sky part of the media? So they're obviously not cherry picking.

They can"t control the answers guests give on live TV, they can cut people off but not for stating sensible views, if they did their credibility would be even more damaged (most people are getting their news now from TikTok videos)

SonyaLoosemore · 02/05/2026 14:51

tulippetals · 02/05/2026 10:00

He was mentally unwell. It’s actually vile that people are trying to erase the third victim because it doesn’t fit the narrative.

He is a dangerous man probably with some kind of serious mental illness. No reason so far to believe this was an anti semitic attack.

Sorry, but this is pure invention. I post on whatever threads are in Trending. A quick Advance Search will show you the myriad threads I post on.

Anti-semitism.

Well they do say it's on the rise

IsEveryUserNameBloodyTaken · 02/05/2026 14:52

nomas · 02/05/2026 12:53

The thread is about the third victim of the attacks that day. Is that not allowed?

Edited

Yes we see you have an agenda here.

You are really reaching. First you said ‘domestic dispute’ wasn’t said and now you say it wasn’t said in the right type of post.

ThatGoldLeader · 02/05/2026 14:55

It's depressing beyond words how much of an anti-semitic cesspit this country has become.

nomas · 02/05/2026 14:55

I hear what you’re saying, it’s a definite problem and I suspect why so many people avoid these forums.

Apart from the bit where he went to a Jewish area and sought out obviously Jewish people to attack. Having previously been referred to Prevent.

But yeah, apart from the blatant anti-semitism, nothing here suggests anti-semitism! Are you for real?

Whysnothingsimple · 02/05/2026 14:56

BackToLurk · 02/05/2026 14:42

“Pesky Jews throwing themselves on knives so marches can be banned”.

Yes is just an extension of Zachy’s “ Jews aren’t in danger it’s just their perception - do you know I’m a Jew btw” narrative

BurnoutGP · 02/05/2026 14:50

Who cares? Get over it. It really does not matter one tiny bit if a couple of posters don't know the strict legal definition of 'domestic' in this context.

What are you getting out of banging on about this? Do you really think that people don't see you for exactly what you are?

5MinuteArgument · 02/05/2026 15:00

BackToLurk · 02/05/2026 14:41

Domestic/personal. You can keep pretending that’s not how it was phrased, I’ll keep reminding you and everyone else can draw their own conclusions about your motive.

Yes, some of the posts on here are really inane. Thankfully, they're in the minority as the poll shows.

nomas · 02/05/2026 15:00

Again, the thread is about the third victim of that day.

Are you saying I shouldn’t reply to the poster who keeps banging on about it?

Why don’t you tell BackToLurk to not keep banging on about it? I only reply when I’m asked a question by him.

HRTQueen · 02/05/2026 15:01

SonyaLoosemore · 02/05/2026 14:51

He is a dangerous man probably with some kind of serious mental illness. No reason so far to believe this was an anti semitic attack.

yes he does appear to have mh issues that does not mean he was unwell at the time of the attack and there have been no reports that he has been sectioned. He was also referred to Prevent though this was later closed but thy he was referred he will have raised concerns

So the police after questioning him and then enough evidence for the CPS to agree to change him are incorrect

ok that clears that up good work detective

PatriciaRocks · 02/05/2026 15:02

KeepPumping · 02/05/2026 14:51

So "the media" are not cherry picking.
All the news outlets have reported this crime, using evidence.
There is no "narrative".
To add: how depressing that people are getting "news" from tiktok.
