I'm referring to the voters. There is plenty of evidence that backs this up.

Is Rayner in the same camp as the ‘not educated enough to understand’?

It appears that the sainted Kemi still has her fans. She might well not even lead her party into the next election anyway.

She's got a better chance than hair-shirt Starmer of leading her party into the next general election.

DenizenOfAisleOfShame · 02/05/2026 14:47

ilovesooty · 02/05/2026 14:43

I've seen the Kemi adoration on FWR long before she was party leader.

I assume on FWR Badenoch gets the thumbs up for being unequivocal about the stupidity of trans rights. Can’t say I’m either surprised by that or that her straightforward position is really open to any criticism.

EasternStandard · 02/05/2026 14:47

ProudAmberTurtle · 02/05/2026 14:39

'Still'.

She's on an ascendancy at the moment

As much as Labour / Starmer fans go for it re KB anyone would be happy to be on that side of those half way lines.

Reform will probably do quite well unfortunately seeing as their average voter age is 61 so they have time on their hands to vote.

This average voter age wouldn't piss on Reform of it was on fire or any other political party for that matter, so I never vote on anything. I don't complain who is in power either because I don't give a toss, they are all shite.
I doubt many 61 years olds are actually retired though. A lot like me are working FT and want to do so.

Rayner might not have any formal qualifications but I'm pretty sure that she has educated herself on how our political system works and that she has a solid grasp on which issues are governed at a national level and which are governed at a local level. Those who vote for Reform in my local community seem to lack such an understanding, presumably because they are much less engaged than Rayner and haven't bothered to learn.

DenizenOfAisleOfShame · 02/05/2026 14:55

What’s with bots again? Is it so incomprehensible that people think Labour and Starmer are shit? If the polls and respected pollsters are to be believed Labour will get a terrible battering in a week. Is that the work of voter bots?

So ‘not educated enough’ only applies to some. Not very consistent there.

Bizarre isn’t it. Some of mn is still so removed that bot accusations get used. Even now with Starmer as least like PM and predicted wipe out.

Shockingly poor judgement when appointing to high office (Peter Mandelson, Louise Haigh, Tulip Saddiq, Angela Rayner, for example).

Constant U-turns due to ill thought out policies.

Failure to deliver the manifesto that got them elected.

Other things that add to their unfitness to govern (and go against all the pious promises and hair-shirtery we got from Starmer in opposition), such as:

Starmer misleading parliament about Peter Mandelson's appointment and then whipping his MPs to avoid facing an inquiry into his conduct.

Sleazy MPs - like the one that hoped a constituent would die before the GE, because she wasn't going to vote for him, that drunk bloke who beat up a constituent in Frodsham, all the government ministers - including the prime minister - who snuffled greedily in Lord Ali's trough.

Rachel Reeves and that bloke who pretended to be a solicitor, lying on their CVs.

I'm sure their are many other examples, but I'm feeling depressed just thinking about them.

Everything you have said applies to every party who has ever been in charge to some degree. The old boys and back slapping, sleaze and power grabbing.
Same shite, different party name.

undecided. It’s not like we have a good choice.

"Undecided" my ar**. There's no way you would feel so strongly anti-Labour unless you were pro an alternative party. I'll put money on it beginning with R.

Don't forget that they've nigh on destroyed the youth / graduate employment market with the NI and NMW increases.

You think formal education is the only way in which people can learn?

I am applying the label of "not educated enough" to those who appear to have no understanding of how our system of government actually works. It is not necessary to have a PhD in neuroscience to understand this, but it is necessary to be curious, engaged and intelligent enough to find out how things work. The people I am talking about do not appear to have any of those qualities.

Pianopiece · 02/05/2026 15:01

ProudAmberTurtle · 02/05/2026 14:38

In this day and age, yes.

Starmer, Polanski and Davey have all lied that men can become women. I think that automatically makes them unfit to be PM.

Even Farage has been pretty poor on this - he's suggested that men could be housed in women's prisons.

Okaaaay.

Um I’m thinking there’s a lot more I’ll be focusing on as regards Farage re him being a disastrous choice for a leader.

Basing whether a leader is fit on trans debate is frankly ludicrous. Have you learnt nothing from Trump. Anybody can make sound bites for the gullible.

No I disagree with your take on this and at other times about voters whether you use not educated enough or ill informed.

It's an excellent starting point.

If you're prepared to lie that men can become women, perhaps the biggest lie ever told, and in doing so, put freedom of speech, women's rights, children's rights and reality itself at stake, then you should not be PM.

It really is that simple.

Forthesteps · 02/05/2026 15:04

Upstartled · 02/05/2026 07:56

Who doesn't have time to vote when you can make a postal votes if you can manage to make it to a polling station for 2 minutes between 7am and 10pm?

Edited

Quite. But let's smear all older people instead.
Funny how the EDL marches are heavy on 30something white van man...

It really isn't. Trans people are a tiny tiny percent of the population.
You are seriously prepared to throw the entire country under the bus for your prejudice.

These Reform voters didn’t just hatch. They will have been Tory and Labour voters.

I don’t disagree that Reform supporters are chasing foolish promises and empty ideas. And I don’t disagree that many people vote in locals on national issues. But Labour, Tory, SNP, LibDem etc voters have always voted like that. It’s not new and it tells us a lot about a government’s standing with the electorate.

Upstartled · 02/05/2026 15:08

I will never vote for a party who is prepared to dismantle women's rights at the alter of gender woo.

Trans people are not a tiny percent of the population.

They are zero percent of the population.

No human being has or can ever change sex.

Acknowledging reality is not prejudice.
