What phrases do you hate? It gives me the rage when my mum says put up and shut up. I know that some things are not within my control and that i have to do things i don't like.

When talking about kids going to school.

Using the wrong tense or version of the word. There seems to be an increasing trend for using “I done” instead of “I did” and I’ve just seen a local Facebook post “wardrobe needed building today if anyone can help”.
and “fabby”!

An ex used to say ‘Jack Frost’s been!’ if it was frosty in the morning. It made me want to stab him.

Also anything along the lines of holibobs, crimbo, picky tea etc

When I was a new mum I hated when people would say “this too shall pass”. It would send me into a blind rage.

‘The rage’ -always reminds me of those old posters in ferry and air ports about ‘La Rage’ (rabies) and smuggling pets in from abroad.
