AIBU to wash my hair every day?

I wash my hair everyday. Sometimes every other day, but lately I’ve been doing it every morning.
I have thick hair but the roots get easily greasy especially now in my mid thirties (I’m 36, almost 37). I get sweaty at night especially when I’m due on my period. I wake up feeling disgusting unless I shower including my hair.
Is this too much?
I swim twice a week, most weeks too. So I’m washing it after that too.

Everywhere online it says it’s unhealthy to wash it everyday.

Daily. Because I exercise every day and having hair caked with salt and dried sweat is not a great look.

I wash mine everyday, have been doing for 40+ years, since I was a teen. Otherwise it's greasy and itchy. In fact, if I wash it in the evening it will feel greasy again by mid afternoon next day, if I haven't washed it in the morning.

Same here, greasy hair started when i was 12 (along with acne, unfortunately) and still greasy scalp now at nearly 50.

I have tried washing every other day, i have tried dry shampoo (evil stuff), i have tried harsh anti grease shampoos and washing twice. The only thing that worked was the couple of times i went on Roaccutane for my acne, that stuff dries everything up with an overdose of retinol, but that's NOT a long-term solution!

I have very fine hair and i have to wash it every day. Otherwise it gets greasy and lank. I ignore people who tell me that washing daily makes it worse because at the age of 53 I know how my hair and my body works. I really dislike the smell of unwashed skin and hair on others and I hate it myself as well.

I work with someone who talks about how she washes her hair every coup,e of weeks and has a bath every 10 days or so. She says she washes 'pits and bits' each night in the sink. She says no-one can tell. Trust me, we can. I have no idea how often she washes her actual clothes, but they are usually a bit fusty as well.
