AIBU to wash my hair every day?

I wash my hair everyday. Sometimes every other day, but lately I’ve been doing it every morning.
I have thick hair but the roots get easily greasy especially now in my mid thirties (I’m 36, almost 37). I get sweaty at night especially when I’m due on my period. I wake up feeling disgusting unless I shower including my hair.
Is this too much?
I swim twice a week, most weeks too. So I’m washing it after that too.

Everywhere online it says it’s unhealthy to wash it everyday.

Daily. Because I exercise every day and having hair caked with salt and dried sweat is not a great look.

I wash mine everyday, have been doing for 40+ years, since I was a teen. Otherwise it's greasy and itchy. In fact, if I wash it in the evening it will feel greasy again by mid afternoon next day, if I haven't washed it in the morning.

Same here, greasy hair started when i was 12 (along with acne, unfortunately) and still greasy scalp now at nearly 50.

I have tried washing every other day, i have tried dry shampoo (evil stuff), i have tried harsh anti grease shampoos and washing twice. The only thing that worked was the couple of times i went on Roaccutane for my acne, that stuff dries everything up with an overdose of retinol, but that's NOT a long-term solution!

I have very fine hair and i have to wash it every day. Otherwise it gets greasy and lank. I ignore people who tell me that washing daily makes it worse because at the age of 53 I know how my hair and my body works. I really dislike the smell of unwashed skin and hair on others and I hate it myself as well.

I work with someone who talks about how she washes her hair every coup,e of weeks and has a bath every 10 days or so. She says she washes 'pits and bits' each night in the sink. She says no-one can tell. Trust me, we can. I have no idea how often she washes her actual clothes, but they are usually a bit fusty as well.

I wash mine everyday. Partly because it gets greasy quickly and partly because I don't like showering without washing my hair. Some stuff says it's bad for you hair. Other things say it's good to wash it everyday, as you are also cleaning your scalp. My hair is in good condition so I see no reason to change.

Same here. I've been washing my hair every morning when I shower for almost 50 years now. It's part of my body and so it gets washed along with the rest of me.

No adverse effects at all.

I'm naturally oily in hair and skin, and I feel disgusting on days when I can't wash my hair. Dry shampoo helps only in a very limited way, and it still feels gross by mid-day. I don't care if it's bad for my hair. It feels like it needs washing, so I do. I don't blow it dry or style it daily, so it's less stressed than it could be.

Do what makes you feel better. I used to be a daily hair washer, and fluctuating hormones did make it greasy when I was younger but as I've got older I now only wash it once a week on hairdressers advice because it is much dryer post menopause. The texture has also changed and it goes frizzy with too much washing . I by better shampoos nowadays as I don't use nearly as much. . I occasionally refresh styling during the week using a bit of water on a comb with a touch of leave conditioner.

I wash mine every day because I have extremely fine hair that needs re styling to avoid it looking like a flat kinky mess! I was talking to a friend about this and she said can’t you just fluff it up a bit . It’s so fine there’s nothing to fluff , easier just to wash it while I’m in the shower.
She actually said schooz but I can’t work out how to spell that 🤣
