AIBU to be annoyed after she offered birthday balloons then ignored me

Would you be annoyed if someone you knew said she would do balloons for your sons birthday then started ignoring you. ? She offered …. I messaged her again and she said yes She’s doing them… and it’s a special birthday too. Well. My sons birthday is tokotrow
and il have to settle with card factory specials but why offer??? Then ignore me ? Why? Am I in the wrong to be annoyed. ?

Well it’s a bit weird. Who’s paying for them though? I would check one last time and tell her that if you don’t hear from her before a certain time you’ll be buying some from elsewhere.

Was payment mentioned? I wonder if she thought you meant could she do them for free and she felt awkward bringing up the cost?

She said she was working out the price… :( ignored me since and I haven’t ordered any other special ones just incase :( and now she’s let me down 😰😰😰

The whole thing sounds weird. Does she work in a party shop? Why would she offer to get the balloons for you?

I don't see how she's let you down if you never even got to the stage of being given a price.

You could have ordered elsewhere and if she got back in touch you say "sorry, I couldn't hold off any longer. I've ordered from elsewhere, ta"

If she’s a close friend I’d of sent a message that you need to know by X date if she’s able to do them. If you got no response order elsewhere

I couldn't get worked up over this. Who even notices where balloons are from? Particularly kids. They'll just see balloons or no balloons.

Outrageous behaviour. I'd be getting my ducks in a row.

How old is he? I doubt he'll even care where the balloons are from either way
