AIBU to have a head full of grey hair at 37?

Just that really. This wasn’t intentional. This is 6-7 years worth of growth now. I never went back to the hairdressers after covid. I actually lost a load when I was stressed out, but it’s thickened up again now. I’m very divided. One part of me thinks I’m too young at 37 to accept this and another part thinks, what the hell it’s so much cheaper! I think it looks okay and it’s in good condition. This was in the car earlier.

It looks good actually. My DS deliberately dyed his grey like that when he was a teen

I think it looks lovely and like a hairdresser did it rather and looks healthy too.

I wouldn't change it.

I’ve also had a full head of grey hair since I was 37 and I would never dye it again. I’ve had so many compliments on my hair colour over the last decade. And I feel so much better about myself as it actually suits me.
I think the colour looks great and it looks lovely and healthy. Entirely your choice though.

Thank you. I will leave it for now as I was just relieved a lot of it grew back. I didn’t want to bleach it for a long time due to the hair loss I experienced. It’s completely changed texture since my bleached blonde days. It gets greasier a lot quicker, but overall the condition is better.

That is a lovely colour! You have some wonderful hi and lo lights and I think it looks lovely

clickyteeclick · 27/04/2026 23:14

It looks like you dyed it that way to look like that… I’m so jealous! Gorgeous!
I’m dark brunette and 44 and have to dye my roots every 2-3 weeks. I would pay £1000’s to get rid of greys permanently. Makes me look and feel so much older because I’m so dark!

It looks intentional, like that trend a few years back for young women to dye their hair grey.

It looks good, but it does look like a hairdresser has done it. Like a balayage. I have never seen anyone with a full head of grey hair that looks like this naturally.

mondaytosunday · 27/04/2026 23:32

It looks nice but not being able to see your face I can’t tell you whether it’s aging. I started going grey at 17 I’m 64 now and I’m not giving up the dye.

Butterflysunshine01 · 27/04/2026 23:58

I think it looks stunning! I’m only 32 and letting mine grow out and blending with highlights but can’t wait until it goes even more grey.

Appreciate the comments. Facially, I think I look my age. No older or younger. My natural hair colour before grey was a medium/dark blonde with red undertones..

I used to bleach it and it would go very blonde but I would always have to tone it due to my ginger undertone.
