To expect a re-conditioned stair lift to work properly?

Just that. We purchased a re-conditioned stair lift for our mother. After having the stairlift installed, it has broken down 3 times in 4 weeks. This seems entirely unacceptable. Do any of you have advice or experiences to share?

Who did you get it from? Go back to them. Did it have any guarantee?

Was it bought from a business or a private seller.

If bought from a business you have rights under consumer rights act.
