What do you mean ‘most’? Do you mean that ‘most people’ who struggle with friendships or whatever aren’t misunderstood and lovely, but actually unpleasant, hence the lack of friendships?

I'd just like to stand up for the goth community here and state that they are indeed complex, tortured souls, and rarely unpleasant, in my experience.

As I tell my kids, "everyone is an arsehole to someone".

Even the most "saintly" person will unlikeable/unsufferable to some people.

This is how things should be really.

For many people it’s a lack of communication skills. They don’t know how to convey what they mean, are misunderstood then get defensive.
