This is why I go into iceland and get it delivered from the shop, costs me nothing. 😂

Surely not? It must be a delivery or small order charge? It's illegal to charge for taking card payments and how else would you pay for an online shop?

Boohoo and others have started putting on a sneaky charge of £2.99 for parcel insurance. I already have free p and p and it was a low-cost item so wasn't paying attention when I pressed pay.

I tried to complain and said why on earth would I pay £3 insurance for a £7 item but they said it was a really good thing to have and you can opt out so it's legal.

Won't make that mistake again.

I've just google and their T&Cs say:

6.1 Flat fee: We charge a flat fee per delivery for picking, packing and reusable carrier bags (where they are provided). If you have shopped online, the charge will be shown at checkout. If you have shopped in-store and used our carrier bags, this charge will be clearly indicated on your receipt as a carrier bag charge. You may provide your own bags, but we will only use them if the bags are suitable and hygienic to do so.

So while it might seem sneaky, it does cost them money to pay someone to do your shopping for you, so it seems fair for them to ask the people who use the service to pay for it, instead of loading their prices for everyone, including those customers who pick and pack their own shopping.

I can’t see anything in their terms and conditions about a fee for paying by debit card.

Apologies I've just rang them. They didn't charge me the right amount for the shopping so it was that. I feel such a numpty!!
