Has anyone been to see Laura Ramoso? Aibu to book the *expensive* babysitter for 3.5 hours?

Anyone been to her recent tour?

I'm around 15 mins from the venue - would the show last more than 3 hours?

I've googled but there is no chest answer, its suggesting two hours?

I've never been to a comedy gig that lasted longer than I reckon 2.5 hours including an interval. I'm pretty sure most theatres have to top up the staff pay after 11, certainly it was always made very clear we had to have cleared out by then, so if the shows are starting at 8, they probably finish before 11.

Most of the ones we’ve been to recently are an hour or an hour and a half. If you’re lucky they will be two hours. Some have felt much longer though.

Have you checked with the sitter also? Around here (London outer suburbs) no paid babysitter will do less than 4h as it’s not worth their while. Different with family or friends obvs.

ElleEmDee · 26/04/2026 09:23

Got no advice but am so jealous you’re going to see her- she’s hilarious! Cahln dzaun.

1.5 hours of Laura , some shows had a support act for first hour. Saw her in Belfast. V funny.

The price per hour went up quite a bit when I lowered from 5 hours to 3 😬

Ah thank you - it's supposed to start at 8 - would that be a support act?

Would like to leave by 10

If you call ahead to the venue they should be able to tell you

Ineffable23 · 26/04/2026 15:46

If shows have a support act it will start at the time on the ticket and then the show itself will start after that.

Oh it is the German mum lady, I thought so! I love that character!

StJulian2023 · 26/04/2026 16:45

She was absolutely brilliant in Bristol - go!!

No support act that night, she started at 8, break at about 9.15 I think and then came back after the break for Q&A. We left at 10:10. She was hilarious and utterly delightful

HermioneWeasley · 26/04/2026 16:56

Just checked London Palladium tickets and they start at £147! I like her, but not that much.

StJulian2023 · 26/04/2026 23:12

Wow, Bristol was £44!
