AIBU to think wearing grubby bras as tops outdoors looks bad?

Yes I know it’s warm. I have seen around 20-25 teen girls and women out and about in just a bra on the top of their body. In the 40 mins to I was out.

They are bras as they are washing machine grey or any other grubby shade of what colour they were.

It is not a great look

I'm under my electric blanket so I can't support it being warm, but th3 thermometer says it's 18 outside but I bet it looks pretty grim

Yeah if youre gonna do the underwear as outerwear, you cant do it in your everyday bra 😩😩😩

I think wearing bras as tops isn't necessary as you can get some lovely proper bra/tops. Also why would someone wear something grubby

Im currently wearing a grey bra. It is grey. Bras come in grey. Particularly sport top bra tops, so perhaps they were in that grey marl fabric, for running, leisure?

I have never seen anyone do this! Or the “white M&S granny knickers as shorts” thing somebody mentioned a few days ago.

I'm in the south of England, it's baking hot and I've been out all day. I've seen absolutely zero women and girls wearing bras as outerwear! Where is this a thing?

20-25 women not only wearing a normal bra as a top, somewhat unlikely already, but they were also all greying? Really 😅seems pretty vanishingly (pun intended!) unlikely to me!

Of course OP. I have been in the park all day and seen zero. Maybe the odd sports bra type top but not an actual bra. I call bull 💩

A regular basic light-coloured bra as a top on its own, rather than being able to glimpse the bra through deep armholes/skinny straps/low neckline? I don't think I've ever seen that and I doubt it's intended as any kind of style or fashion statement. Perhaps everyone had to leave the house very suddenly in an emergency, in the only bras they can afford? Or took off their top to sunbathe, not really thinking about what was underneath?

(Of course, grubby discoloured clothes look bad; a grubby white T-shirt wouldn't be ideal either. Items can get that way, though, after many washings especially if they're not great quality in the first place. An item can be completely functional while still not looking its best.)

It's glorious here today but that hasn't stopped me wearing my 2 thermal vests and a fleece!

Yeah I get that, I thought I was reasonably tactful with my comment plus this thread isn't about OP. I've only been on here a few months and have noticed quite a few threads that seem unlikely to me. Thanks for the heads up.

Yes I’ve seen women and teenagers out in basically underwear but mostly black, the shortest shorts (basically large knickers, Nike) and sports bras. It’s warm but hardly the Med, I’m in jeans and a long sleeve t shirt

I literally saw a teenage girl today wearing what looked like big white knickers. They were cut quite high at the back so half her cheeks were on display.
Not seen any grubby bras yet though.
