AIBU to be fed up of all the over opinionated, bitchy, fat arse trolls who come on mumsnet being deliberatly inflammatory and down right nasty just for their own perverse satisfaction and ruining it for the vast majority of mumsnetters who are genuine and looking for advice, understanding and friendship

hf - hmm, I'm not sure now. Have you killed any threads recently? More importantly - do you know me?

mrsruffallo · 20/06/2008 12:37

bgdu- very cryptic. Are you a troll?

hf128219 · 20/06/2008 12:41

Brighton girl - I have never changed my name on MN.

brightongirldownunder · 20/06/2008 12:42

How can I be a troll and offer photos of my scary self and lovely daughter on here?!!!
No - I would only blush the whole time if i tried the troll thing. I'm crap at lying.
I am a threadkiller I'll have you know!

mrsruffallo · 20/06/2008 12:43

Actually, I am such a fan of funny troll threads I may just go and look some up

hf128219 · 20/06/2008 12:43

Why did you think you know me? And the chocolate reference?

brightongirldownunder · 20/06/2008 12:44

Ok HF you're not that person then.
But nice to meet you! think you are also a threadkiller - tough I haven't checked thread in question for a while..

mollysawally · 20/06/2008 12:44

brightongirl - post a link to that thread your taliking about.

And stay here . DO NOT* go back to the other thread - you know what I'm talking about!

brightongirldownunder · 20/06/2008 12:45

It was all about a thread you added to. Just very similar to OP, but different name.

hf128219 · 20/06/2008 12:45

Spend most of my time in Forces Sweethearts! And when I want a chuckle have a look around AIBU!

brightongirldownunder · 20/06/2008 12:46

Got your clothes on yet Molly?

mollysawally · 20/06/2008 12:50

I'm thinking it was you that stole them brightongirl!

mistypeaks · 20/06/2008 12:52

I quite like the funny ones. Have been entertained by some 'controversial' ones. The plainly pathetic ones annoy me slightly but I just ignore. The ones who are a bit are they/aren't they don't overly bother me, I post as if they are real and need advice - what have I lost? As someone else said, someone just lurking on said thread may take away some decent advice.
What I hate more are long term MNers who are plain nasty (even more if they namechange to vent their venom).

brightongirldownunder · 20/06/2008 12:53

I've had a bit to drink (remember people I am in Sydney, so its not lunchtime)and TBH I may not be wearing anything..I just don't know...

brightongirldownunder · 20/06/2008 12:55

Well said misty. Nasty should be a no-no on here.
I'm leaving now before i either kill this thread or say something I won't remember till tomorrow.
Night night.x

Tess321 · 20/06/2008 15:05

I like trolls. They cheer me up. I prefer the silly ones to the nasty/provocative ones though.

2shoes · 20/06/2008 17:20

yanbu. one particular one REALLY un nerved me and made me reluctant to post on sn(still am a bit)

memoo · 20/06/2008 19:02

2shoes, thatis what bothers me, that genuine poeple are put off posting.

I admit that some of them are just plain funny, but others are offensive, i think they sometimes forget that its a real person at the other end of the computer, people who have feelings and can be upset

OP posts:
2shoes · 20/06/2008 19:09

trouble is they can be very good at hiding. this one was. and cos she stuck to the sn boeard to begin with no one really noticed her.(and she still comes back every now and again)

hf128219 · 20/06/2008 19:12

2shoes - keep posting.

Greyriverside · 20/06/2008 19:19

I've noticed that some of the outragous thread titles are a joky and/or angry response to another thread.

You'll be reading a thread something like "AIBU to think we should forbid smokers from using the NHS" and someone will start one called "AIBU to think we should forbid pregnant women from using the NHS"

Personally I've never namechanged and never will. I already say what I think as me.

... Hmmm not a bad idea for a title as it goes

Nighbynight · 20/06/2008 19:20

I dont mind people who are openly mischievous. What spoils mn a bit is the ones who come on here trying to make people feel sorry for them. You never know if they are genuine or not. And then when someone does post something awful, people say "troll?"
