Sparks rewards. Is this goodbye to 20% discounts?

M&S seem to have canned Sparks rewards so instead of unlocking 20% off different items you now buy at full price and get money back.
im a bit disappointed as I don’t see this as much as a reward as 20% off.
AIBu or do you agree?

I’m deliberately not clicking on them to add them to my card. Hopefully others also won’t and they’ll see there’s less interest in this kind of offer.

I have a card. I always scan it. I have had nothing back from doing so. I don’t understand the point of it to be perfectly honest .

I had a survey about this in the week, tagged onto the survey they always send when I use a certain M&S food shop and I told them it was crap .

I agree - the ‘offers’ are rubbish now - I’d rather have 20% of bras than get £2 in my wallet if a spend £10 on bras.
Ultimately it’s to save them money not the consumer.

Agree it’s disappointing , I’ve always waited until i have 20% off nightwear, jeans, lingerie before making a purchase , as I’m sure lots of people have .
It will definitely make me think twice before buying, hopefully will affect profits and they will revert back 🤞
