Would you be concerned if someone had 100 Vinted parcels in a week

Personally I would

No.

Gettoachiro · 24/04/2026 13:19

No, it's their money.

redskyAtNigh · 24/04/2026 13:20

Why concerned? Are they legitimately ordered by the person, or are you worried someone is using their address as a front?

MyPeppyCyanFinch · 24/04/2026 13:20

Concerned about what?

Thundertoast · 24/04/2026 13:21

If i thought they were getting in debt or hoarding or other unhealthy habits and they were a close friend or loved one, it might concern me a bit but there might be all sorts of reasons for it! People get very good at reselling.

ScottBakula · 24/04/2026 13:22

No , it shows that they have a good eye for a bargin and are doing their bit for recycling.

What is your concern?

TFImBackIn · 24/04/2026 13:32

Do you mean every week or just one week? If it was one week I'd think someone had some extra cash and was going to create a new wardrobe for themselves. If it was every week I'd think they planned to resell the items elsewhere.

Toottooot · 24/04/2026 13:34

REPORT REPORT REPORT (to whom I da ken)

wahwahwoo · 24/04/2026 13:35

Very weird behaviour. Who the hell needs to buy 100 items per week?! They might be addicted to shopping.

CornishPorsche · 24/04/2026 13:37

Yes.

Lkekly a minimum £3 for each parcels postage and the platform fee, plus say £1 per parcel for the item - at least £400 spent out on whatever has been sent.

If it's a one off for a specific reason, fair enough.

If it's regularly done - why? Hoarding? Buying cheap and selling on for more money? Mania?

whoputallofthatthere · 24/04/2026 13:37

I'd think it's a lot of parcels, but frankly none of my business unless a loved one was obviously getting in to debt or distress over it.

ThejoyofNC · 24/04/2026 13:38

They could be getting everyone's summer wardrobes sorted?

PollyBell · 24/04/2026 13:39

Princess Kate or Putin who are we talking about? Why are people talking in code lately?

GenieGenealogy · 24/04/2026 13:39

Concerned - no.

Judging, yes. Nobody needs 100 new outfits in a week. Nobody even needs 100 new items of clothing in a year. Yes buying from Vinted is better than getting poorly made shite from Shein or Temu. But it's still demonstrating a horrible consumerist ethos.

Plus £2.40 ish for P&P?

But yeah I don’t know. Probably someone trying to make a job from re-selling.

CurlewKate · 24/04/2026 13:41

I would assume that they were buying to sell on. I used to do something similar in the old days of eBay.

Allschoolsareartschools · 24/04/2026 13:42

Depends if I was behind them at the Post Office/lockers or not!

GloiredeDijon · 24/04/2026 13:43

Now wondering if you are one of my neighbours!
I don’t have 100 but certainly a couple most days at the moment.
What is it you suspect?

CarrotChow · 24/04/2026 13:43

I would presume they are using it for a source of income like a business and reselling.

OriginalSkang · 24/04/2026 13:44

It depends what they're buying and what for?

UniquePinkSwan · 24/04/2026 14:00

that sounds like me but I sell them on EBay afterwards.

Zov · 24/04/2026 14:02

Obviously running a business. No-one would buy 100 separate items a week!

Ohcrap082024 · 24/04/2026 14:04

Depends on the context.

If we’re are talking about a one off, big spend by a parent with 5-6 kids, buying for the summer/holidays etc etc, that’s fine. Especially if they are saving a lot of money on the essentials.

Or someone who buys then resells making a profit. Fine.

But a person who does this and gets themselves into debt? That’s a worry.

Beachwalker66 · 24/04/2026 14:17

Not necessarily. Context is key, and sadly missing.

Chocolatecoffeecup · 24/04/2026 14:18

Unless it's someone very close to you, it's probably none of your business, but even then it depends what for. We tend to order more online around Christmas and before birthdays. There may be a reason. And how do you know it's 100?
