AIBU to worry about my son's treatment at preschool escalating?

I’m sorry, I am posting on here for traffic.

My son (4) is at a preschool where I sent my little girl years ago. We love the place and the people are amazing.

Unfortunately my son’s old “best friend” is now picking on him, calling him names, pushing him over, scratched his hand.

I raised it to the preschool twice. But it is a large government run one and the staff can’t be in all places at once. I do fully trust his key worker that she has spoken to him, but they can’t keep an eye on only my son and this other boy.

I do know that boys will be boys but it seems to be escalating.

What would you do as a next step? I’m worried it will escalate further 🥺

You will have this issue in every nursery or preschool. Talk to the staff.
