DD is practising for exams and it suddenly struck me how odd the really tight timing in exams is.

What exams specifically do you mean when you say "have tight timing"? Generally there is an overall time limit for the entire exam and the student has to pace themself through all the sections of the exam to complete it.

Depends on the child and the subject. My eldest is a slow worker and normally used all her time. My other two were far faster in working and often had time to check.

Would you like the exams to last longer? 😝

What does tight timing mean?
