To ask for corn experience?

I have what I believe is a corn.

Hard skin on outside of little toe.

Most of the time I don't notice it, but 6 or 7 times a day it is excruciating. Like someone has got a blowtorch on it.

This isn't always caused by contact, my toe can have nothing touching it at all but the pain is immense

Is this normal? Will it go away on its own in time.

Is affecting my sleep quite frequently

Go and see a podiatrist. They can determine the type of corn and the right treatment.

I've had a couple of painful ones & sympathize.

I managed to treat mine myself using corn removal pads & foot file. You have to be quite persistent & do it every day - the buggers go very deep.

Then when it's gone you need to use an Intensive cream with a high urea content (I think 10%).

If you've got diabetes, obesity etc you might be better off seeing a podiatrist as DIY treatment might be risky.
