Do I chase a quote?

Guy seemed reasonable and said he would send through quote, but hasn't. It's not for a lot of work and no materials. Do I chase?

One chaser in the week. If no response, move on.

Same thing. Neighbours and us want some joint garden work doing. Company with five star reviews came out, told us both what they thought would be better, but not what we wanted. Ghosted both of us since. Another company offered a ridiculously high quote. A third came last week. Waiting for that quote now.

I get that they might not want to do it, but just say so please.

If they have to be chased for a quote they're not that bothered about the job, so why would you want them?

As @Goodadvice1980says: chase once then move on.
