What will happen now

I've just reported my partners brother using the 101 form online for domestic abuse. They live together and over the past year the brother has developed a drug habit and regularly attacks my partner. This has happened again tonight and I've just reported it online. Brother is also on a suspended sentence for other (non violent) offences. What will happen now? Will the police arrest him? Partner doesn't know I've done it.

If he’s already on a suspended sentence, they’ll likely arrest him rather quickly and keep him in custody until they’ve collected statements/evidence and he can be charged.

If he is already on suspended sentence then they should act pretty quickly here as this would breach the terms.
