Infected insect bite

I was bitten on my eyelid 8 days ago. I react to bites badly and immediately began taking anti histamines. 3 days later it was still quite swollen and sore and I went to the pharmacy who prescribed a 5 day course of antibiotics. Things have improved but the eyelid is still very swollen and the ‘head’ of the bite has become a large dark scab (I’ve not been picking it…)
the antibiotics course I was given finishes today -aibu to give it more time or do I need to have it looked at by a doctor?

Yes you do. Go today.
Still sounds infected and needs treatment.

Definitely keep getting it checked. Someone I follow on Instagram had a spider bite that was treated with antibiotics but they weren't enough and she ended up in hospital for a week with a raging blood infection.

Not trying to scaremonger but it is a possibility so better for you to get seen earlier and avoid that all together!

Look out for signs of infection, shivers, fever, body aches etc. hope its sorted soon OP x
