Could you either cut down on the amount you do or set aside time when you don't bother about it? I work p/t so not the same situation, but when I'm at home with DS I try to get all the householdy stuff done first thing (he's an early riser) and then go and out do stuff with him like the park. Only 1 kid though.

And take more days off! Arrange a regular time to do something for you - maybe one evening a week? What would you enjoy?

What about something like swimming, where you don't have to commit to a definite time? Am considering negotiating an evening swim a week now have got past the first stage of pg.

How old is DS3? I found the first year really hard and the main thing for me was trying to get enough rest - napping in the day with no shame . Or just sit with your feet up and a good book while he sleeps.

Well, I think sometimes that you can find plenty of housework to do if you look for it. Sometimes you should just leave the dishes/washing for couple of hours and sit with them and read stories, or play hide and seek or get them to join in with you instead.

But, to be perfectly honest, I dont think they'll view you like that anyway. No more than they would notice that Dad wasnt around as much anyway. So dont worry

What about time to yourself when your DH is home? I felt so much better when DS was sleeping reliably of an evening and I could have a long bath with a book .

Have you thought about paying someone to do your ironing or cleaning to give you either more quality time with the dcs or a bit of extra time to yourself?
