6 people, I want to do a starter, main and dessert. No allergies or vegetarians, the only food not liked by one of us is mushrooms and cheesecake.
Nothing too complicated for the desert as I’m not great at baking.
What would be on your menu?

Starter: asparagus wrapped in prosciutto with a balsamic glaze

Main: lemon and herb salmon, serve with maybe fondant potatoes, or maybe mashed potatoes. Plus honey roast carrots.

Dessert: panacotta if that’s not too similar to cheesecake? Or tiramisu is more assembling stuff than actually baking. Tbh I normally just buy a pre-made tart of some kind and serve with fruit and cream.

This time of year, asparagus with parmesan and balsamic, maybe a lamb korma, or leg of lamb new potatoes & veggies, and then rhubarb turnovers & cream.

The turnovers are easy, make them with pre-made puff or filo pastry, cut into squares, add the fruit to the middle, sprinkle with brown sugar, fold and seal with beaten egg, then bake for 15 mins.

Personally I think this is perfect. I nearly always do canapes with pre dinner drinks instead of starters as it is easier to get away with that if you are still having to pop out to see to the main

Banoffee pie is an excellent and easy dessert that always goes down well - you just have to remember to put the base in the fridge the night before!

Completely forgot I even posted!
All went well, I made Bruschetta to start, marry me chicken for a main and Eton mess for dessert.
