To think that Vinted descriptions are often inaccurate.

I have been looking through Vinted for a special occasion outfit.
I found the size categories a bit odd as they span 2 sizes and I am right in the ‘gap’ so need to look at 2 categories as I need the larger of one or the smaller of the other.
The site seems quite slow so I had been marking several favourites and then going back to read in more detail.
Somewhere around 80% of the ones I’ve checked have a size contained in the description outside those of the listing category.
I can see how the odd seller may select the wrong category by mistake, but this seems so widespread it can’t just be attributed to human error.
It must also be frustrating for the seller as several of them have already sent offers on these items.
Is the site known for being unreliable?

It’s because vinted recently updated all of their size categories but not many sellers have the time/inclination/energy to go through all their listings and change to match so you suddenly end up with a size 14 dress in the size 20-22 category for example

Yes, vinted sizing is really annoying.
I actually love using vinted but it's search function and how it categorises things are crap

Thank you. I think you’ve hit the nail on the head here. As it’s an outfit for a special occasion I have probably searched back into older listings.

I think it’s also really important to put the size in the listing as well! I always put the size in my title and listing - so ‘floral John Lewis dress size 16’ and then in the listing I’ll put ‘midi length, floral print, has pockets, worn twice, size 16’ for example so there’s no way people won’t know but SO MANY sellers have no size listed anywhere and you’re left guessing if it’s in the right category or not or what size it might be and it’s infuriating!
