Are you concerned that Trump has totally lost his marbles?

Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP

@Jellybelly80
I don’t know what you’re talking about. I have never done an advanced search on you or any other PP.
Sorry you’re having a few issues from what you’ve posted. However if you’re finding this thread triggering then it might be best to leave instead of just telling so many of us off.
We are not making fun of people with dementia or with incontinence issues, we discussing the odious man that is Donald Trump who is not fit to be POTUS. He’s so obnoxious that anything goes with his illegal war which is causing untold damage to the world.

Isn't overall us wide maternal mortality falling?

It’s increased across the board in the USA but is higher in abortion ban states / states that made it harder to access abortions pre the overturning of Roe vs. Wade.

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2352827326000194#:~:text=For%20banned%20states%2C%20the%20average,37.36)%20deaths%20per%20100%2C000%20births.&text=Figure%201.

This study extended beyond 2021 to include the overturn era and still shows persistantly higher MMR in ban states:

https://obgyn.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/pmf2.70128

Maternal mortality rates remained consistently higher in abortion-prohibited states compared with abortion-supportive states throughout the study period. The COVID-19 pandemic substantially magnified these preexisting differences, whereas the Dobbs ruling exerted variable effects across individual states. These findings underscore both the persistent inequities in women's health outcomes and the urgency of implementing targeted policies to address and mitigate such disparities nationwide.

More fuss about Michelle Obama's bare arms than Trump's dementia.

And Obama's beige suit.

Locutus2000 · 06/04/2026 14:12

A reminder that we are on the precipice of WW3.

Trump said on Easter Monday "Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP"

The derailing is obvious.

The derailing is telling. They cannot find a way to defend their candidate so need to derail instead.

Are you suggesting this is part of a republican plan to replace Trump?

More like Trump supporters finding it increasingly harder to defend him and his governments actions

ICE killings, starting a war in Iran

CottageHearth · 06/04/2026 14:22

Get a grip FFS.

This thread is about Trump and his deranged behaviour. Seems like it's brought out equally deranged posters.

This is just silly. Not many US posters on here, so who would actually need to defend Trump - practically nobody on here voted for him, so how is he anyone's candidate?

BIossomtoes · 06/04/2026 14:24

Tony Blair, you had a creep who pretended to be level-headed, but then started the Iraq war

I think you’ll find it was Bush who started that war.

nOlives · 06/04/2026 14:19

Huh?

What I mean is Trump supporters / voters seem to find it increasingly difficult to defend their man. So they simply derail onto other topics (“tHE DemoCRats”, “KAmaLa”!) instead.

We had a post recently about people’s lack of personal responsibility. I think Trump supporters refusing to be responsible for who they chose to vote for is an example of that.

There are plenty of Trump supporters on MN.

Have you missed the threads on the ICE killings, his plans to invade Greenland, his attack on NATO, attack on Zelenskyy and comments on other countriies?

ETA to add 'and Epstein'

Absolutely! Leaving aside there are Trump voters who comment here. There are a lot of Trump supporters (irrespective of whether they were able to vote for him) who post here too.

I don't really follow US politics as seen through Mumsnet TBH, but I find the idea that Trump is "their candidate" to be bizarre on a UK website.

We wouldn't say that about a French or a German politician, because nobody here (pretty much) gets to vote for those politicians. But because it's the US, some people try to import the US electoral system wholesale as though it were relevant here. I find it a bit disturbing.

keepswimming38 · 06/04/2026 14:40

I didn’t think it was possible. How does he still have supporters? They must be equally as unhinged.

There are UK policians supporting Trump and want to bring his policies over.

Trump openly interferes in UK poliitcs, other countries leaders don't

Not just Trump, Vance, Musk as well.

Walkaround · 06/04/2026 15:25

Emilesgran · 06/04/2026 13:31

No it doesn't - why were all those Democrat supporters disaffected in the first place? That's certainly not the Republicans' doing

And even assuming Trump's new supporters were people who wouldn't have voted at all previously, that still leave the question of why they turned up for Trump. And that's where my point earlier about the government losing an election rather than the opposition winning it comes into play: it might be because the Republicans ran a great election campaign, but it's more likely that they strongly disliked something about the administration in power, ie, that they really didn't want the Dems to win.

And since they were people who tended not to vote, anyone in the Democratic party who really wants to change the party so as to win next time (rather than just call voters rude names) really needs to think about how they put middle of the road/uninvolved voters' backs up to that extent.

The Democrats lost because the party in power can’t make up completely ridiculous fantasies and expect people to buy them. Apparently, however, a disgruntled electorate will vote for obvious fantasy fiction, however obviously grotesque the people spouting it.

Whilst the foul language is unstatesmanlike and an unfortunate example of the continuing decline in standards in the West, President Trump is to be admired for the efforts, thus far, against a genocidal regime. The USA needs to remove it entirely, however. The President is also to be admired for putting the interests of his own people first.

Honestly, stupidity like this allows him to wreak havoc. There is absolutely nothing to admire about Trump or the Republicans. He does not care about the people, fgs. You are sucked in if you think he does. He wants an empire and power. He wants to be admired. Everything he does is self-serving.

There are people calling themselves Maple MAGA here in Canada. It'd ludicrous and terrifying.

Bunkins · 06/04/2026 15:32

I spent last night doing a bit of deep diving, to get a picture of what the MAGA fan club/cult think of the current situation. Most of them seem to be either just as unhinged or believe his SM posts are fake and that his account must have been hacked.

Thick as pig shit and nuttier than a jar of crunchy peanut butter.

Namingbaba · 06/04/2026 15:35

Just imagine any other president writing a message like that. It is unhinged. I think to some extent we’ve been desensitised to it. While he could be getting worse I think some people seem to think he was at one time level headed which was never the case.
One reason he’s acting crazier this term than last might be partially a mental issue but it’s also that the guardrails are off. He had sensible people around him last time who would challenge and stop him from doing extreme things.

Absolutely. Musk openly supports British arseholes like Tommy Robinson and all the racist Raise the Flags wankers, most of whom have got criminal records.

He is a malignant narcissist, likely suffering from frontotemporal dementia and megalomania. Look it up, he sure fits the profile!

But what I don't get about this (albeit I agree he seems unhinged to me from what I see of him) is that nobody around him seems to be concerned.

I honestly suspect they are all making a killing on the stockmarket and so on, possibly using him as their mouthpiece - but it's even possible that it's all an act, and that he knows exactly what he's doing: making a killing for his family like a mafia don would.
