AIBU to think NASA’s launch footage was surprisingly poor quality?

To think NASA’s footage of the take off was shit? I know they’re not a broadcast company but all the amateur iPhone footage is better.

No your're not...the blank screen just at
tower clear and then a view of the crowd instead of showing solid booster separation apparently caused so many grumbles it came to the attention of Jared Issacman, the NASA administrator...he's promised NASA will do better next time.

With all the tech out there, it feels like a wasted opportunity. The take off shockingly falls out of the frame, and the zoom loses resolution so fast. The photographs coming back are amazing though !!

It did move rather quickly and zoom lenses aren't really intended to work at a distance of 10-63 miles.
