Your plans for Easter weekend

Always like to hear what others are doing and maybe get some ideas! Ours are never that exciting but I try to do a bit with the dc (getting harder as eldest is 13 now). Anyway:

Out for breakfast tomorrow. Then need to pop and get some plants and lamb from Tesco. Weather dependant we will pot the plants and choose a good stick in the garden to make our Easter tree. Also got an Easter cheesecake to make and I’ve seen The Sound of Music is on tv in the afternoon so will watch that. Eldest is going to a football match late afternoon with friends.

Saturday I’m not sure. I’d thought about going to a city for a wander about but the weather looks crap and these things always seem better in theory than reality with the dc. If not eldest and I might go to the gym or swimming. Takeaway and movie Saturday night.

Sunday - egg hunt in the house or garden and lamb for lunch. Will go see grandparents.

Monday - weather looks nice so maybe a national trust day with a picnic.

What are you up to?

I have to blitz the garden. In between eating hot cross buns, creme eggs and church.

Can't wait to have an Easter egg!

Friday: run (short, maybe fit in 8k)
Church at 1030
Home, brunch (smoked salmon and scrambled egg). Possibly make fish pie at this point
Church at 3
Pack for holiday or make fish pie
Eat fish pie
Watch TV with DC

Saturday definitely a longer run, will try 15k or maybe run to and from park run.
brunch out
packing
Some kind of easy home cooked meal in early eve as in law's are staying
Easter vigil mass til late

Sunday taking the kids to Easter service if they miss Saturday night. If they come with me Saturday I might be tempted to go alone as i love the singing and seeing friends. I can't really run 3 days straight so I might try and get a swim in. In law's are supposedly bring nice food. There will be an Easter egg hunt. Need to get DH to chat gpt that before Sunday. Then cleaning out the fridge/bins etc for early start to our holiday on Monday.

More proof that folk continue to ignore the Chat forum on Mumsnet and think that AIBU “is” Mumsnet 🙄

Why has it irritated you so much?

Who says I am “irritated”… it’s such a classic Mumsnet trope to accuse someone of emotion when you don’t rate what they are saying.

Today - nothing, DCs and DH have both been off work/school/nursery this week and been out and about a lot while I've worked and we're going away tomorrow, so we all want a bit of downtime. Will need to do some house stuff and packing.

Tomorrow - dd has her swimming lesson in the morning then we're going away with my in laws for the week to the south coast.

Not sure about Sunday and Monday, depends on the weather. I'll definitely do an Easter egg hunt on Sunday though.

I’m deeply sorry. Have an easter egg, might cheer you up.
