AIBU to feel undermined by my supervisor’s constant monitoring at work?

I am after some advice on a situation at work. I have been in my current role for 10 years and i am confident in my job. I plan my workload and always manage to complete the tasks given to me. But recently my supervisor has been constantly watching me asking me how long it will take to complete tasks when I have just started doing them and then saying once you have finished it can you do XYZ. He doesn't do this with other staff in fact he doesn't monitor them at all. It's starting to knock my confidence and upset me. I like my job but the past few weeks have been tough.

Can you ask him for a 1-2-1 so you can find out what his problem is? If this has just started out of nowhere id be wondering if he’s seeing an issue with your performance. And if he’s not then hopefully he can confirm this and back off

@user8190092 there’s something off here. He feels the need to oversee your work for some reason. You have every right to ask what this reason is.
