Big knickers or not to be big knickers, that is the question????

So I am now in my early sixties and in recent years have been wearing VPL Brazilian briefs which in fairness have been reasonably comfy. However after a recent spate of ill health and hospital visits, I have found myself reaching for BIG KNICKERS? Is this the end for me, is it a step too far or am I being unreasonable?

Don't get me wrong, they aren't the type of knickers that can combine as chest warmers but they aren't exactly sexy, and my husband prefers me with them off anyway 😁🤣.

So what do you think:

YANBU: is it OK to wear those big bottom warmers
YABU: Girl, you are too young to abandon the Brazilians?

Well I’ll buck the trend: I’m a similar age to OP, have lost nearly 6 stone and have ditched most but not all of my big pants in favour of rather more racy things. Does depend though on what activity I have in mind….

I always wear the skin tone big pants. Have done since my early 30s.

I've never noticed a man being repelled by them, I must say.

I find thongs and Brazilian uncomfortable.

All knickers are going to partly end up in your arse crack. So i avoid the element of suspense of when that will be by wearing things that start there so cutting out the middle man, as it were. I'm probably too old in my 40s, but my pants, my choice.

As it should be for everyone, big or small. You live your best pant life, OP.

I have a couple of pairs of small knickers but I always opt for the big comfortable ones unless I’m planning something special.

It definitely has a whiff of that poster about it.

I had my eldest at 33, 6 years ago. I can count on one hand the times I've ventured out of my big pants. I do tend to get the ones with a bit of lace round the top so I can pretend they're not parachutes. Absolutely no shame here. I also believe putting on a lace Brazilian accounted for another 2 children so I'm firmly staying put in my nana pants...

That was a joke, he doesn't care what pants I wear, I think he'd prefer I didn't 🤣

The only snag with big knickers is finding enough drawer space for them.

I wear black cotton high waisted ‘shorts’ style knickers from M&S.. they are actually quite flattering for my shape as well as comfortable on me.
But I do wear a plunge balcony style padded bra with them. So I don’t feel totally unsexy.

I stopped bothering with pants in 2020

I moved to the big knickers brigade when I was first pregnant in 1997...never left!

Well, I have to say I am pleasantly surprised as I was expecting to be told to do the walk of shame due to having made the switch but apparently its not that abnormal and I appear to have left it late to make the move. Thanks All!

I LOVE big knickers OP. Have done since mid 30s (I'm 61). Don't like the feel of one's when your bum cheeks are exposed not even a little bit 😊
