Why are you asking? I'm slim and healthy but I wouldn't touch a breakfast/protein bar with a barge pole.

Same here. Eat some oatcakes instead.

I have porridge but there’s absolutely no reason you can’t be slim and healthy and eat those things for breakfast.

Some of those things probably have as much sugar as a Mars bar. Even if they are advertised as 'no added sugar' they are usually full of dried fruit, honey, agave juice or fruit juice, all of which are sugar-by-stealth.

I eat a Go Ahead bake bar for breakfast on the train on my office days, and am healthy weight and moderately fit. The two aren't necessarily correlated though!

Possibly so, but piling in with a "bad foods" narrative doesn't seem likely to help someone asking a question like OP's, does it?

Me! I've had a protein bar and vits most of my adult life for breakfast. Loads of fresh healthy food the rest of the day and few treats as I like feeling healthy. Donr drink much alcohol at all. Theres a lot of protein bars I would never eat though because of a lot of crap they have in them. Exercise a lot too.
