The race to the bottom - Trump / Farage supporters have won AIBU to feel angry

To feel fucking incensed at people who support Donald Trump and his ilk.

The world is literally a dumpster fire. We are all fucked because of this man, yet people still support him.

I have always been absolutely respectful of other political ideologies (or at least the right to hold whatever belief you choose). But honestly I have done a Donald and can no longer subscribe to this view. I dont respect people who support what he has to offer.

AIBU to be bloody raging that we are all screwed because of populist, awful politicians and angry with the people that still support them. I know it puts me in the as bad camp, but I could not have a Trump supporter in my house (includes Farage/Reform).

@estrogone has something happened today? What did I miss?

By the way, I'm not ignoring you if I don't reply

I can barely get MN to load this evening. This reply might not even post.

YourShyLion · 28/03/2026 21:52

I'm not sure what has prompted this being posted now so I feel as though I have missed something.

From what I can see their popularity is falling by the day thankfully. They are both the scum of the earth, completely despicable in every way but I do feel that people are beginning to see it.

Unfortunately there will always be the brainless hatefilled knuckle daggers who will support them but I hope that the good is starting to outweigh the evil.

Yanbu.

Beetlebumz · 28/03/2026 22:02

Ya absolutely nbu! Fed up of these selfish greedy men messing everything up for the rest of us.

estrogone · 29/03/2026 00:44

Nothing has happened, or no more than the usual daily diatribe of misery.

I just feel really angry - the energy crisis, the war, the hate. We have gone back 90 years because the pale male and stale brigade have been hard at work to line their own pockets at any cost. The worst part is they are enabled by people who fall for the lies and promote the hate further.

Mostly I am scared for my young adult children and like many when I am scared I feel angry.

How any woman could support these men blows my mind.

I feel the same about the support for communities that have child marriage, no women's rights, honour killings etc. Watching the boxing tonight I wondered how many people in the audience support Reform/UKIP. People don't always reason things out.

Farage is a toytown trump.

Underthinker · 29/03/2026 08:23

I voted YABU. I don't like Trump or Farage, but I don't think they are the cause of all the world's problems, or that "hate" is the preserve of the political right. But I am indeed pale, male and stale, so I may be biased.

Cherry8809 · 29/03/2026 08:45

Yet under the Obama administration, airstrikes were ordered in Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Syria and Somalia.

Granted, a few of these were conflicts inherited from the Bush administration but still. People seem quick to forget.

Moses (Enriko) Itauma, born in Slovakia, father Nigerian, is our British heavy weight champion. Would he be British if he couldn't box to that level? As many others wouldn't be and according to Reform he isn't British, as most of our greatest British sportspeople aren't. I'm on FB, you'll see posts about 'deport all Muslims' and their profile is all about LFC and Salah.

AnneLovesGilbert · 29/03/2026 10:46

Trump was democratically elected by Americans who thought the alternative was worse. Some of the blame for that is the appalling incompetence of the alternative. If Americans want him out they’ll do that at their next election.

Weeelokthen · 29/03/2026 11:01

I don't blame Trump, at all. It's the fuckin thick American voters fault. We all knew exactly who he was before he got voted in, again.
Stupid Americans have screwed us all!!!!

EmeraldRoulette · 29/03/2026 14:47

@estrogone so are you saying the war in the energy crisis have been manufactured to line the pockets of a few individuals?

That wouldn't surprise me at all. I just wondered if anything in particular had come out about this.

There are loads of people spreading hate but I think most of them are on the left. I'm not particularly interested in left right rows - just making an observation.

I really hope we can get back to a saner politics, but I doubt it will happen for awhile while
