AIBU to ask for an update on the Christmas round robin affair thread?

To ask for an update on the poor woman, who discovered that her husband was having an affair, and planned to inform his family via his annual round robin Christmas update (which she was required to send out). I've been thinking about her for ages and I want to know what happened and how she is doing.

I would love to know too!. I hope she is doing fabulously without her cheating lying husband!

Oh, yes! I’ve been thinking about her too! Hope she’s winning

Strangely just a couple of days ago I was also wondering how that poster was doing.
What a shit her H was.

StormyLandCloud · 21/03/2026 09:45

Yes I remember this too - I also hope she’s well shot of him by now

Considering the OP asked her threads to be deleted because of her concerns that they were too identifying i doubt whether she would want to provide an update.

I didn't realise that but I suppose there was a lot of stuff mentioned that would make it pretty easy to identify the OP. I hope she is reading and know that we all hope everything went well for her.

I also wondered how that turned out, but the thing is with Mumsnet I think you get a temporary window into someone’s life in a crisis and you have to respect it for what it is

Threads that go on and on into multiples are generally not to be trusted either

I think it was widely thought of to be made up. It was certainly doubted on 3 other forums I read.
