Am I getting old?!

On holiday just now. We are bed and breakfast in a very posh hotel, in a lively location in India. This is the first holiday we’ve been on where I haven’t been intent on clubbing. I’ve been quite happy to come home after dinner and drink on the balcony listening to tunes. I’m 56. Am I finally getting old? 😂

YANBU - you should have been going to bed early years ago

If not wanting to go clubbing is what constitutes being old, then i've been 'old' since about 36 ...

It sounds like you're having a nice time. Why denigrate it with thoughts that your current idea of a nice time is down to age? You know what you like to do. You're in a lovely location. Take it easy and enjoy yourself.

The thing is - at 56 - of course you can go clubbing - but you’re gonna look like everyone’s grandma when you’re in there 😂

I think the last time I went "clubbing" was in the early 80s but they were called discos back then 😅

I'm your age. An old indie kid turned raver. I guess we are getting old, but just do what you enjoy.

I stopped clubbing at 30 - now 42 and far from old!

Depends what clubs you go to tbf. There's a Hacienda rave event I go to every year that's a great mix of ages. My friend's daughter went and reported back that there was a lovely crowd of kids and "mums and dads".

There's no age limit on dancing and having a great time.

I’m just worrying about the people with the neighbouring balconies having to listen to your music - now that’s being old 😂

I haven’t been to a club since my teens, I hated them! So I must be truly ancient as that was 40 years ago.
