Contraceptive pill in early 40s? Has anyone tried this one?

So I haven't been in the pill for a long time and want to get back on it. I was looking for one that would also help with moods which Yasmin seems to but it is also for oily skin as it helps with acne. Therfore this is no good for me as it will make my skin too dry.

Has anyone used Zoely? This seems to be more natural and the best one to help with moods. Any recommendations?
I am early 40s if that makes a difference.

I started on zoely 4 months ago after it was recommended to me by a gynaecologist. I’ve found it’s definitely helped with my periods and moods. And some other unpleasant symptoms of perimenopause. I’m also early 40s. I have put on some weight but not sure if it’s related.

Zoely is great for women in their 40s as the oestrogen is more “HRT-like” than other pills and the progestogen is pretty good for mood.

I'm on Yasmin, it hasn't dried my skin out, but has helped with my skin. Can't advise on moods, mine doesn't appear affected by it but then again I don't suffer with low/erratic moods.

I loved Yasmin but was told I wouldn’t be able to stay on it beyond 40 as it has a higher risk of clots than other pills and over 40 they don’t prescribe it.

Jealous of those on Yasmin it was a wonder drug for me but after having children I was told they wouldn’t prescribe it due to blood clot risk.
