AIBU to struggle getting into new films and rewatch boxsets?

I really struggle with faces and this may be relevant, I don't know.

I find it near impossible to get into new films or TV series. Instead I tend to cycle through the boxsets on repeat (Homeland, The Walking Dead and Sherlock).

It's vanishingly rare that I watch a new film.

I find the familiarity very reassuring and also enjoy spotting details I've never heard before.

Anyone else?

Yes. I do the same.
I can only watch a new film in a cinema otherwise I get too distracted with ..well, almost anything else I can get my hands on in the house. I frequently rewatch old films from my childhood, re-read books etc.

I tend to watch older films.

Actually I've got a very low attention span when it comes to films and TV and it's a standing joke in my home that if I can manage to sit and watch a whole film from start to finish then it must be good.

Me too. I'm now 67 and my partner is 70 and we find we're going back to series (we've recently re-watched Boston Legal after almost 20 years and found to our delight that it's still massively relevant) we've seen and loved rather than new stuff. The only thing that bothers me is that I used to take the piss out of my late Dad fir doing this!
