To want to get out of my head

Raising teens and frequently worrying about one thing or another; many are irrational worries. How do you get out of your head? Compartmentalise ?

I get throughout day through lots of mindfulness and breathing exercises. Perhaps menopause isn’t helping but I don’t have other symptoms, the anxiety is the major one. I get through lots of emotions in the same day, it is really up and down,

Swimming and steam room were helping a lot but stopped this month as going away.

Any advice?

Vigorous exercise. An Ashwagandha supplement (knocked my perimenopausal anxiety on the head completely!).

Excellent advice. I need to increase my excercise and buy the asheagandha. Any particular brand you can recommend?

What exercise do you do?

Thank you

Holland and Barrett's KSM-66 ashwagandha is the best I've found. That's 600mg. There's also one from a company called Turmeric Vitality, also KSM-66 (400mg) that's supposed to be good but I haven't tried it yet.
Take it in the morning or at lunchtime because I find i don't sleep well if I take it at night.

I do running and pilates. The Ashwagandha supplement I buy is from Amazon, made by a company called Nutravita. It has an orange label. I also take a Wellwoman 50+ multivitamin and a probiotic every day.

There's loads of exercise vids on YouTube. I cast them to the TV. Dance, tai chi, yoga. I do whatever I feel like each day, but always something - ten or 15 minutes at least.

I do 15min yoga every day but is not enough. Need to ho back to swimming, also take magnesium and vitamin d. Need to try the ashwaganda.

Highly recommend crossfit. Very hard to formulate a thought while doing it.
