AIBU to think Worcestershire family house market is slow and overpriced?

We’ve been trying to buy a family 3/4 bed house in Worcestershire for months but it feels like not many new properties are coming on the market?

We’ve sold our place and so our lives are on hold in a little rented property. I’m desperate to have a garden again!

Also it feels like the properties that are for sale are way over priced, and sitting there not selling…

Is anyone else having this problem/noticing the market is poor?

Should it get busier now we’re coming into spring? Should we sit tight and wait? Or just buy the best we can find, and get on with our lives 🤔

Not sure you can help me really, just venting as frustrated!! Any wisdom appreciated!

I’ve noticed it too. Tbh I think the University is to blame for the changing market as so many rental properties and HMO’s too, people buying have spread out in a radius of a fair few miles now from the city so it’s had a ripple effect all round.
Used to be a good stock on the market at reasonable prices but sadly those days have gone.

Just place marking the thread as interested in this area for relocation.

Houses are still moving in my part of the County. Whereabouts are you looking? I know of a 3 bed with a huge garden which will be going on the market soon. Send me a message!

Per PP, you need to be more specific on area and budget. You can get family houses at the £250k Mark, but equally you could be talking about £500-£800k+ properties...

Whereabouts? Seems to be as mad as ever in my corner of the county!
