My son and DIL told me this morning that she is 5 weeks pregnant. It’s their first baby and my first grandchild. They’ve been trying for a while and my DIL had confided in me last month that she was starting to get really stressed about it.
I’m so thrilled for them but under strict orders not to tell anyone as it’s so early.
Can I share my excitement and hope for them here?

Oh my goodness, I’m so excited for you all and I’m really really hoping this is me soon. My daughter isn’t sure if she can have children as her endometriosis is so bad and she’s awaiting her third major surgery but I have everything crossed for them.

My DS and his wife are expecting a baby, she is now 14 weeks. But they told me when she was 7 weeks, and I wasn't allowed to tell ANYONE. This is also a first grandchild and I am really happy and excited for them, even more so now that the 12 weeks scan has been done and the news is out everywhere.
Congratulations OP. My daughter in law sent me a photo frame with the scan picture in it, and it says 'only the best parents get promoted to grandparents' and I love it.
