TV BED?

I’m considering a TV bed. So a bed with a TV built in to foot of the bed.

I’ve never had a TV in my bedroom, but I think I’d really like it! We can’t put one anywhere else in our bedroom as the layout won’t allow it.

YANBU to get a TV bed if you think you’d like one. My OH used to have one in a rental
flat (the bed / TV) was built in so he didn’t buy it. Apparently the mechanism broke and was a bit of a pain to fix. Mainly I dislike the aesthetic and don’t watch much TV.

We had one of these in an apartment we stayed in. Didn’t think I’d like it but it was good. The dogs loved it 😁

I love my tv bed. We used to have a regular bed and the tv mounted on the wall. The bed also has Bluetooth so my husband can play the Australian rugby from his phone on the big screen and a built in shelf under the bed for dvd player so space saving in that respect, previously my husband had to put up a wall shelf for the dvd player.

I’d want to be able to go to a showroom and test one out. I suspect that like a lot of multi-purpose pieces of furniture, many aren’t necessarily the best or most comfortable beds.

But I can’t see anything unreasonable in wanting a neat solution if you like to watch TV in bed. Enough people who scoff at TVs in bedrooms take tablets or phones to bed with them to watch and scroll, it’s no different.

No it's not right. Too close. and in order for it to be watchable it would have to be really high up and look weird.

It's hard for me to imagine a room where it would not be possible to put one on the wall. I guess if the entire walls were lined with wardrobes.

I have seen a TV that lowers from the ceiling.

Make sure it's not a smart one and cover the camera when clogbanting!!

We have a TV bed, we watch a lot of sport which can be on early morning or late night (F1, golf etc) and it’s great to be able to watch the 5am races without getting up!
We made sure it was a decent bed, however my husband does complain about the end of the bed touching his feet - not an issue I have being 5ft2.

We couldn’t wall mount a TV in our room as it’s a loft room and opposite our bed is a bannister/stairs.
